Being a baby-boomer, embracing email and the web were not natural steps for me but I quickly found I did not need to be an IT expert or an internet guru. All I needed was some specialized software, a telephone help line and some practice.

I retired three years ago and at that time, I was using the computer to help me become more efficient and effective than in all the years before I knew what contact manager was. I remember paying $100 for my first handheld calculator (Those you now find even smaller and selling for $ 2.49 at the drugstore),

My first experience with a computer was a Tandy 1000 requiring two floppies, one for the program, and one for the data. I remember when you would ask your clients if they had a fax. Now we automatically assume (and correctly) they have email.

What I am saying is, you are never too old to benefit from the new sales tools.
